Your New Favorite Wood-Stain 'Recipe' | For Wood Burning Art
This wood-stain recipe was especially formulated just for me by my husband.
He's a certified expert in advanced colors and textures layering techniques.
The final result is a dark, haunting tone without overpowering delicately hand crafted wood-burn design.

- *Follow Manufacturer's Instructions, do not mix liquids together!!
The first layer is a very light shade called 'weathered oak 270' by MINWAX. This acts as a protective barrier, preserving delicate linework and hand-painted colors.
Allow this to dry and cure (about two hours)

The second layer is a 'polyshade' layer. That's wood-stain and polymer-finish in one step. We live for it!
The second layer can be the more tedious one, as it's important to entirely avoid any hand-painted color at this step.
(You can seal your color-work with a clear varnish, if you like.)
