What is the difference between 'Pyrography' and 'Wood Burning'?

The short and simple answer; they're basically the same thing.

The term 'Pyrography,' encompasses many different forms of 'burning arts.' You may see 'Pyrography Artists' who burn their designs into Leather or Paper.  'Wood-Burning,' is a form of Pyrographic Art. There are all different sorts of 'Wood Burning Artist' burn their designs onto many different types of wood in many varying styles.
My Etsy Shop, Moody Mercury Designs, features a variety of different wood burned items over the course of the year. For Spring, there is a collection of wooden earrings that I have burned floral designs into. The image is then colored with a mix of acrylic inks and colored pencils. When the process is complete, the wood is stained and sealed for longevity.
After the earrings have been carefully dried, hardware is added to them and they are ready for their new homes.
