Foam Rolling Feat. Tabitha Hammercheek Fitness
The Foam Roller was founded by Moshé Feldenkrais in the early 1970's. The practice is designed to help reduce pain and improving mobility; thereby increase overall function of the body.
I would never have even tried it if it weren't for my chance-meeting with Tabitha Hammercheek.

Before I met Tabitha I was in such intense pain that I was unable to bend or lift properly as a part of my every-day life.
I joke about the time I had a little-cough out shopping that ended up entirely throwing my back out- but that really happened. I had to 'hump' a grocery cart all the way back to the car, trying not to cry in-front of the cashier...
I was in real bad shape. My diet was practically rice-cakes and apple sauce, at the time I met Tabitha.
I had also been experiencing terrible stomach issues after having my gallbladder taken out and no doctor was taking my pain seriously.
Tabitha Hammercheek taught me how to fuel my body in healthy way, that wouldn't upset my sensitive digestive track.
She also taught me all about The-Great-God that is the Foam Roller; a massage tool that helps release adhesion (or 'knots') in our muscles to help relieve pain.

Foam rolling is a slow, mindful practice that has helped me in my mental-health journey.
As you roll over a tense muscle; you're intended to pause to alleviate the pain.
Take deep breaths to concentrate on relaxing the activated muscle group.
While all this is happening; you're checking in with yourself and your body.
By the time I finish my 10 minutes of Foam Roller Exercise in the morning, I feel physically taller and more present in the moment.
